Coaching & Advisory

How we work together

Two types of engagement. Coaching for individual product leaders navigating career transitions and leadership challenges. Transformation advisory for product organizations that need to change how they discover, validate, and ship. Both grounded in what I'm building in my current role as CPO, right now.

Engagement types

Three tracks, one approach

Individual coaching for product leaders. Transformation advisory for product organizations. Direct, evidence-based, grounded in current experience.

Track 1: Coaching

First-time heads of product

For VPs and heads of product new to the role. The jump to product leadership is a category change. You're expected to operate strategically, earn executive credibility, and lead a team you may not have hired, often without a playbook. That's exactly what we work on.

  • Establishing executive presence with CEO and peers
  • Setting product vision and earning org-wide buy-in
  • Managing a team you didn't hire
  • Translating strategy into a real, defensible roadmap
  • Navigating your first board presentation
  • Building a high-performance product operating model
Track 2: Coaching

Founders building product-led companies

For founders who need a strategic product thinking partner. An advisor who helps you think more clearly about the hardest product decisions and brings real operating experience to the conversation.

  • Product vision and go-to-market alignment
  • Pricing and packaging strategy (treated as a product problem)
  • Transitioning from founder-led product to a dedicated team
  • AI-first product strategy and agentic workflow design
  • Hiring your first head of product
  • PLG to enterprise motion: what changes and what doesn't
Track 3: Advisory

AI-native product transformation for B2B SaaS companies

For CPOs, VPs of Product, and Heads of Product Ops who need to transform how their product teams work. This is not a workshop or a training program. It is a system that gets deployed, tested, and iterated inside your organization. I built it in my current role as CPO and I bring the same hands-on approach to every engagement.

Who this is for

  • B2B SaaS companies with a product team of 5 to 50 PMs
  • Companies under board pressure to demonstrate real AI adoption
  • Teams where PMs have AI tools but the process has not changed
  • PE-backed companies competing against AI-native startups
  • Leaders who know they need to change but are not sure where to start

What you get

  • Strategic context file customized to your company's strategy, OKRs, and competitive landscape
  • 4 AI skills deployed and tested: signal synthesis, vision hypothesis, opportunity brief, prototype concepts
  • PM Quick Start guide your team can follow without hand-holding
  • 6-week pilot results with before/after metrics and a leadership demo
  • Org recommendations: team structure, role evolution, tool stack, process changes
The process

How an engagement works

1

Intro call

30 minutes. No pitch. We talk about where you are and whether this is a good fit.

2

Discovery

I get context on your company, team, role, and the specific challenges you're working through.

3

Regular sessions

Weekly or bi-weekly 1:1 calls, structured around whatever is most live and relevant right now.

4

Async support

Between sessions, I'm reachable for quick questions, document review, and real-time input when things move fast.

AI Transformation: How it works

The 6-week pilot structure

Assessment, system design, deployment, and coaching. The pilot ends with a leadership demo and a decision on full org rollout.

1

Foundation (Weeks 1–2)

Set up the tool stack, strategic context file, and data exports. Onboard 2 to 3 pilot PMs. Run the first signal synthesis on real data.

2

First reps (Week 3)

Pilot PMs run the full loop for the first time: signal to brief to prototype concepts. Expect rough output. The learning is in the doing.

3

Validate (Week 4)

First customer validation using AI-generated prototypes. Engineering deepening review. Iterate based on what customers say, not what PMs assume.

4

Scale (Week 5)

Second cohort of PMs begins. Refine skills and templates based on pilot learnings. Automate data pulls where possible.

5

Showcase (Week 6)

Demo day: pilot PMs present results to leadership. Decision on full org rollout. The playbook is published internally so it can run without me.

Over time

What the engagement looks like over months

My job is to help you get better at leading product. I'll push you, ask hard questions, review your work, and help you think through decisions. You own the outcomes.

The shape of that work shifts as you build confidence and momentum.

First month

I get deep context on your company, team, and what you're dealing with right now. We identify the highest-leverage problems and start working on them.

Months 2 through 4

Weekly sessions focused on the challenges that matter most. Strategy, stakeholder management, pricing, team building. We go where the work is.

After that

We shift to bi-weekly sessions and async support as you build your own rhythm. Many clients stay on for six months or longer.

What sessions look like

Direct. Structured. Grounded in real work.

We work through what's most pressing for you that week: a board presentation, a difficult stakeholder, a strategy decision you're second-guessing, a pricing conversation you need to lead.

I challenge your assumptions. I bring perspectives from what I'm navigating at Siteimprove and what I've seen across multiple companies. I ask questions that push you toward your own clarity, not just questions to fill time.

You leave with a clearer perspective, a decision made, or an action you're confident taking.

📋

Common session topics

  • → How do I position product strategy in the next all-hands?
  • → My CEO keeps overriding roadmap priorities. How do I push back?
  • → I need to restructure my pricing. Where do I start?
  • → How should I structure a product narrative for a board deck?
  • → I'm inheriting a team with low PM craft. Where do I start?
  • → What should AI actually look like in my product?

What's included

📞

Weekly or bi-weekly 1:1s

60-minute sessions on a consistent cadence. Structured around your agenda, not a fixed curriculum. We go where the work is.

💬

Async access

Between sessions, I'm available for quick questions, document review, or a gut check when you need a fast perspective on something moving now.

📄

Document review

Strategy decks, board presentations, pricing proposals, job descriptions. I review and give direct, specific feedback before they go out.

Pricing

A monthly retainer. Simple and flexible.

I work on a monthly retainer basis. This keeps the relationship simple and means you can reach out or ask for a second opinion without watching the clock.

Pricing depends on engagement structure, frequency of sessions, and the scope of the advisory work. The best way to understand what makes sense for your situation is to start with a conversation.

I take a limited number of clients at a time, which means I'm selective about who I work with and you'll get real attention tailored to your situation.
